Harmony Hill School provides clinically informed specialized programming and services to individuals with social, emotional, behavioral and learning needs in safe campus and community environments.  Professional staff builds on identified strengths, offering individuals and families the opportunity to realize their potential by validating experiences and facilitating healing.

Since 1976, Harmony Hill School, Inc. has been providing high-quality treatment and education to children, adolescents and their families in safe, predictable environments.  Continually evolving to follow evidence-based practices and to meet individual and community needs, we remain committed to our mission to serve individuals with social, emotional, behavioral and learning challenges.  Failure is not an option: attention, support, coaching and specific individualized intervention from clinicians, teachers and milieu staff help our clients reach their goals throughout all disciplines.

The entire community supports and upholds the agency's mission while striving to meet the individual needs of our clients and communities, to follow evidence-based practices in the field, and to address the changing political and social challenges of the future.

Accreditation

Nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA) since 2001, our consumers can be assured of our commitment to high standards in both treatment and organizational practices. In addition, Harmony Hill School, Inc. was expedited for the last two out of four COA accreditations through the Pre-Commission Review Report (PCR) process as a result of having no out of compliance ratings in any of the fundamental practice standards.

Licensing

RI Department for Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) licenses our residential programs, and we hold a Private and Special Education license from the RI Department of Elementary and Secondary Education for grades K – 12.

Challenge

Course

Our Challenge Course is a series of adventure-based activities designed to help build self-esteem and improve communication, teamwork, and creative problem solving.  Through use of both cognitive and physical challenges, in an exciting and safe environment, both individuals and the group are able to achieve success.
